Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation in singing and provides anthems at both of our traditional worship services. Some of our members sing at both services, and some choose to sing in one. We rehearse on Wednesday night at 7PM, immediately following the Discipleship Hour and Fellowship Meal on Wednesday nights. In the summer we move to 6PM, and take the month of July off. We would love to have you join us in this ministry.
The Grove Praise Team
The Grove Praise Team leads us in worship during the Contemporary Service at 11:00 am Sunday mornings. This group is made up of drums, guitars, bass guitar, keyboards, and vocals. The music style is contemporary/ modern worship and is very uplifting and Spirit-led. Mike Stanley is the contemporary worship leader.
Piney Grove Ringers
The Piney Grove Ringers is Handbell Choir that meets each Sunday afternoon and rings every 4-6 weeks during the year at our worship services, and for special services during the year. This is a fun group, where you can always count on hearing giants bursts of laughter during rehearsal. The group is under the direction of Marguerite Puckett.
PG KidZ Choir
We have two PG KidZ Choirs, a PreK/K Choir, and the 1st-5th-grade choir. They sing several times a year during worship and a short musical during Advent or during the Spring. They learn modern worship songs, hymns, and fun motion songs that affirm their faith in a loving Savior. The children’s choirs are under the direction of Kelley Lovelady. Be watching close to the Fall for registration.

Ushers/ Greeters
Each Sunday as you come through the doors to worship at Piney Grove, you are welcomed by one of our kind Greeters handing you a bulletin for worship. Our greeters are a “first touch” ministry at Piney Grove, and they are a very important part of worship. Our Ushers are responsible for receiving the morning offering and helping the congregation with seating and during communion.
Acolytes
The acolytes begin and end each service, by bringing in and carry forth the Light of Christ. They also assist during communion. Acolytes are trained before they participate in worship and they rotate weeks that they acolyte. Our acolyte coordinator is Patsy Lowery.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a group of volunteers who coordinate and assist with the special events and regular worship of the Church by preparing the Sanctuary flowers and paraments. Guild members often work behind-the-scenes to prepare worship and to assist the Pastor with various activities needed for services. The Altar Guild members are assigned weeks and usually work in pairs.
Audio/ Visual Ministry
The sound and visual ministry is a vital part of worship. We are blessed with several individuals that operate in this ministry. Some audio knowledge is helpful and computer knowledge is a plus as well.
OurWorship
Piney has a great history of wonderful music, from the sanctuary’s majestic organ to contemporary guitar and percussion. There’s a place for you to get involved!
