Our mission in children’s ministry is to reach and teach children of all ages about the love of God that they might know Him as their Savior and be able to share His love with others in their lives. Although they may not be able to fully express it, children have souls that are yearning for God and it is our goal to help them find and follow after Him as they grow. It is our desire that every child experience God-centered programs and activities at our church that will nurture them in developing their faith.

PG Kidz

We meet on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00-7:00 PM. PG KIdz is an opportunity to learn God’s words through music, art, games and missions. K-5th graders.



Sundays are Fundays

Sunday School begins at 9:45 A.M. each Sunday and concludes at 10:45.We use the Cokesbury Deep Blue Curriculum in our Sunday school program. Children will explore families in the Bible, learn how today’s faith families care for children as they grow, build loving relationships, and find out what it means to be part of God’s family!



Confirmation

Our 6th graders have the opportunity to participate in confirmation. Classes are on Wednesdays from 6-7 PM during the school year. Confirmation is a tradition that engages youth in scripture, tradition, reason and experience. It empowers youth for ministry and helps our congregation recognize youth as full members of the Church of Christ.



WE LOVE CHILDREN

Our Children’s Ministries are uniquely designed for children newborn-6th grade. We believe children are a blessing from God and we are passionate about creating an environment that is safe, age-appropriate and fun where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way allowing children to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Our Children’s Ministries are divided by age into three groups; Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary with each having a time of worship, prayer, and interactive lessons.

Our Mission

The family of Piney Grove shapes children through the love of Christ by teaching them who Jesus Christ is and who they are created to be. This truth is taught in our nursery, Sunday School Classes, 6th-grade confirmation class, PG Kids on Wednesday nights, camps, and special events, preparing them for the Piney Grove Youth Ministry.

Making disciples who make a difference – we work to reach out to receive all children, to help them relate their lives to God through Jesus Christ, and to help them grow in Christian faith.

The mission is to build young disciples that grow in their Christian faith and equip them to do God’s work. Piney Grove UMC partners with parents to achieve these goals by providing a nurturing and safe environment for growing in their walk as Christians.
